In completing your reading for the week you learned about many elements of creating value for the shareholders of CM Tech. Chapter 28 in particular discusses a range of ways that value can be created within an organization. The concept of value creation is highly researched and debated. You are encouraged to look beyond just the text and learn more about the concepts of value creation. Emma faces pressures every day from the board and the shareholders to produce results. Not all results are created equal though. Emma has asked you to do some research to help her and the team solidify their goals for value creation for their customers and their shareholders.
Your research paper for Emma should include the following key elements:
- In what ways can CM Tech create value for their customers? Which should be most important to CM Tech, their most valuable customers or their most profitable customers?
- In what ways can CM Tech create value for their shareholders? Will the same actions that create value for the shareholders also create value for the customers?
- Which two of the five value-capture methodologies discussed in Chapter 28 do you feel would be most effective at CM Tech? Why did you choose those two? Be sure to fully support your assertions in all three sections with reasoning, examples, and research.
Your report should outline the key concepts in each area listed above and provide examples as appropriate. Be sure your report is a minimum of 5 pages, includes an introduction and conclusion paragraph, title page, and references page. The title and references pages do not count toward the total page count.
The report should be formatted in APA style and be supported by a minimum of three scholarly references.
Since CM Tech is a fictitious company, you may use great liberty in this assignment in creating or imagining the details needed in order to write your report.
